myGov Access - code creator or also published as myGov Code Generator in various app stores like Google Play is a free companion utility for the myGov application users.  The app doesn't allow you to directly sign in through the app. Instead, it requires you to enter a code which you can specifically get from this tool only.

It's developed by the Australian Government Department of Human Services Apps who's also known for Express Plus Medicare, Centrelink, and Child Support. With myGov Access, you no longer need to keep relying on SMS codes or secret questions.

How does the myGov Code Generator work?

While setting up the application, you will be asked to read and accept the Terms of Use. For your sign-in backup, you can opt to establish SMS codes or use secret questions. The generated code from this app is the one you'll most often use when logging in to your myGov account. Your sign-in settings will automatically register your device for the app.

Once everything is successfully assembled in your device, you can now proceed to my.gov.au and access your account by entering your username and password. Afterward, you will then open the myGov Access app and get the 6-digit code generated. Keep in mind that if you uninstalled the utility or obtained a new device, you can lose access to your myGov account.          

This is where the backup sign-in options matter. With this, you can still access your account. It will prompt you to change your myGov account setting sign in. If you don't have these alternatives, it'll be impossible for you to have access to your myGov account. Remember that every 30 seconds a new code will be displayed. Each fresh login will require you to enter a new code as well.
